The Carpenter's Son
4th watch March 25, 2015
I regard not ultimatums of men, nor discuss their terms for peace
Never confessing where they've been nor considering things unseen
But upon unconditional love's surrender, I’ll bless who says and does:
"I, for my loved ones you remember, will tell the ones you love"
I talked about planting seeds, though not a farmer’s son
Teaching some of raising sheep, yet not a shepherd born
A carpenter’s son, I still can hear these words upon my ear:
“Struggle not against the grain, but form the wood with care"
I use a father's love to teach the love of the father
Using Pharisee's soulish pride accomplished the work of the cross
Diminish not nor malign, empassioned wayward fervor
But using it, such as it is, form truth within the heart
